Lies Worked in Missouri, Let's Go National!
Senators Fienstein and Hatch have introduced a bill entitled "Human Cloning Ban and Stem Cell Protection Act of 2007". This bill takes the same deceitful approach which cloning advocates found so successful in Missouri last November. Rather than banning human cloning the bill (S. 812) actually legalizes human cloning and provides for payments to women to donate eggs to be used for this research. How do they get away with lies like this? Creative terminology. See the PHL Pro-Life Dictionary on this web site for an accurate definition of terms. See the story by Wesley Smith on this US Senate deception in The Weekly Standard of 3/26/07.

He describes human cloning and its successor, fetal farming, as a "specteryet graver than abortion".

From CBHD- The Center for Bioethics and Human Dignity
"Let us not delude ourselves: ESC research is not the end. Transplantable tissues will require cloned embryos, not donated ones. Women are not donating millions of eggs for research. The next recourse will be to human-animal combinations. We only have to look at the experience in the U.K. for verification."

Stem Cell Wars Ending
PHL predicted a few years ago that the issue of embryonic stem cell research would resolve itself within two years. We were a little optimistic but it is now happening.Through continuing rapid progress on adult stem cells and some very recent discoveries in creating pluripotent (embryonic) stem cells from skin and other cells the need to kill embryonic human lives to obtain these stem cells is becoming unnecessary.

Our little friend Evan visiting PHL!

Look who we found in a PHL bag! It's Evan Cronin, Stephanie and Mike's beautiful little boy. Stephanie is a PHL speaker and board member. Evan and his Mom visited us for lunch recently and we were entertained all afternoon by this very happy 8 month old.
When I asked permission to put this picture on our website Stephanie replied "Evan would be honored to be on the PHL website! He embodies everything PHL is about. There was no "choice" involved with that baby. From the moment I found out I was pregnant, I loved that little guy. "
